SUMMARY:Women's Woodworking Class - 4 sessions
DESCRIPTION:Do you feel a bit intimidated by the idea of making something from wood? Do you want to feel self-sufficient by creating basic items from standard lumber? In this class\, we will use common hand tools to make a box with a handle (tailored to each student's needs and uses\, of course!).\, providing a project that allows for learning to use various tools and techniques. Tools will include handsaws\, drills\, rasps\, planes\, and others. If participants are interested\, we might use a few power tools (power drill\, orbital sander\, router). No previous experience using tools is needed. A veteran woodworking instructor with 40 years of experience teaching children and adults\, Alex will teach you everything you need to know in a safe\, supportive\, and inclusive learning environment. If time allows\, students will be able to make additional projects. If you'd like more information about Alex Brede\, visit his website: https://woodworkingwithkids.wordpress.com/This is a class series over 4 separate weeks. All Thursday evenings\, June 13\, June 27\, July 11 and July 18. 18 years and up. Classes will be canceled if a minimum of 5 registrations isn't met.
