Online CESCL (Certified Erosion & Sediment Control Lead)

Online CESCL (Certified Erosion & Sediment Control Lead)

Wednesday, December 11, 2024 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) (PST)

Description

Class Description: In this two-day online certified training program, you will learn how to control costs, prevent erosion, protect water quality and comply with permit requirements. Participants completing this class will receive certification as a Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL) good for three years. Why do you need a CESCL? If your project disturbs over an acre of land, is in a subdivision, or poses a risk of stormwater runoff entering a waterway, you will need a Construction Stormwater General Permit from the Department of Ecology. This permit states that all projects disturbing one acre or more of land must have a CESCL. The CESCL is trained to inspect, install and manage stormwater controls on your site. Ecology requires a CESCL to be on-call at all times, so most companies will need more than one employee trained as a CESCL. Instructor: Department of Ecology Certified Instructor, Alex Zimmerman, Creative Courses LLC Note: You will receive the online class meeting info and a book link the day before the start of class. It will be sent to the email used during registration. To receive your CESCL card and credit for the class, you must sign in for the entire scheduled class time and complete the test at the end.
